FAQs

How much does it cost for my business?

$0. The gift giver pays a convenience fee to Doce on top of the business’ original item price. The business covers a small credit card charge to Stripe (our payment processing platform) for each transaction. This is all handled for you through Stripe!

How does my business get paid?

We transfer the final total to your business account via Stripe on the first day of each month. As a reminder, customers pay up front for the gifts they send out. You’ll also receive a confirmation email after a purchase has been made.

What is Stripe?

Stripe is one of the largest payment gateway for e-business, with over 1 million businesses, PCI 1 compliant; and set up makes Stripe remit the money directly. We are working on integrating it with your POS system.

Do I need an app or mobile terminal to redeem orders?

No, your staff just needs to verify that the redeem page is legit by reviewing the order confirmation on the customer’s phone. We are working on building an app where you will be able to see your orders and account information.

What if the item is not available anymore?

Giftee can use this credit for another item of equal or lesser value.

What if I need to update the product catalog or business intro?

Send us an email and we will make the update asap.

How can I make sure the staff is not scammed by a fake redeem? Or it was redeemed twice?

We make sure to check for valid orders on the app. We also have an animation on the order redeem screen that the cashier should check to make sure the customer is not showing a screenshot from a previously redeemed order.

Is it worth it?

Like any new marketplace, it is difficult to attract customers without many businesses and vice versa. However, as one of the first businesses on the app, you’ll get special attention from all new customers as we build our consumer base.
